ATIS

Atis is a tribute to my childhood and my identity. As a Filipino-American, I grew up going to the Philippines every 3-4 years to visit my relatives. A key component to visiting a Filipino home was the beautiful, unique fruit, called atis. My grandfather, Lolo, works among the fields and trees to grow atis and other fruits and vegetables. Growing up in America, it can be difficult to remember and reminisce on what the Philippines is to me, but atis will forever feel like home.
